The Great White Shark - Live From Cape Cod!

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event Details

Great white sharks fill us with terror and awe… yet how much do you really know about them? Kristen Kibblehouse, marine science educator with The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC), joins us virtually from Chatham, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod.

Kristen will discuss the ongoing white shark research projects being conducted and funded by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, how that research is impacting conservation and public safety efforts, and what current research has revealed. She will present videos and photographs from the latest research season and talk about what a shark is and what it takes to conduct white shark research. At the end of the program, Kristen will answer your questions and explain how you can get involved in shark and ocean conservation!

The organizer of this event, Woodridge Public Library, has kindly allowed us to extend this virtual program to the patrons of White Oak Library District. In order to register, click HERE, or using the URL below. Register and enter your email address for instructions and Zoom connection details.
