Put on your apron and let's make some tasty treats that you and your family can enjoy! We are making Harvest Puppy Chow this week. Listed below are the ingredients you will need as we go step-by-step in the video to make these delicious treats. All Tasty Treat recipes are fun, easy-to-make with ingredients you can find around your kitchen! Adult supervision is encouraged. You can also view and print out the recipe HERE. 

Ingredients Needed:
C = cup, t = teaspoon, T = tablespoon

  • 1/2 C Peanut Butter
  • 1 C chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 t Vanilla extract
  • 9 C Chex mix
  • Assortment of pretzels and chocolate candies of your choice
  • 4 T of butter
Materials Needed:
  • Mixing bowls
  • Microwave safe bowls
  • Wax paper
  • Mixing spoons
  • Gallon-size Ziploc bag 
  • Measuring cups

Recipe Steps:

Step 1: Mix 1/2 C peanut butter and 1 C of chocolate chips into microwave safe bowl and stir.

Step 2: Put bowl in microwave and heat until chocolate is melted. Stir chocolate until smooth.

Step 3: Mix 1 1/2 t Vanilla extract into chocolate and stir.

Step 4: Pour 9 C Chex Mix into large mixing bowl and slowly stir chocolate in until Chex Mix is covered in chocolate. 

Step 5: Scoop chocolate-covered Chex Mix into gallon-size Ziploc bag, allowing enough room in bag to shake, and pour powdered sugar in. Seal the bag and shake until Chex Mix is covered. Repeat step until your Chex Mix is all gone.

Step 6: Pour mix into a clean bowl and mix in candies and pretzels of choice.
