"If I Were a Jungle Animal" written by Amanda Ellery and illustrated by Tom Ellery

Bored with standing in the outfield with little to do, Morton begins to daydream about what life must be like as an animal in the jungle, but as he thinks about what it would be like to be a great lion roaming in the grass, a ball is hit in his direction and he must quickly get back to reality in order to make the play.

"What to Do if an Elephant Stands on Your Foot" written by Michelle Robinson and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds

Advises the reader on how to handle encounters with various animals in the jungle, where a mistake while avoiding one can attract the attention of another.
