Today we'll be reading "Bear Gets Dressed" written by Harriet Ziefert and illustrated by Arnold Lobel, with permission from publisher Harper & Row, and "Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash" written by Sarah Weeks and illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott, with permission from publisher Harper Collins.

Mrs. McNosh hangs up her wash with such gusto that her clothesline ends up holding the dog, a Christmas wreath, a kite, and other odd items.
