We are asking for community support to successfully present this initiative. Donations will make a difference by helping us prepare a culturally accurate altar. The goal is to bring our community together to celebrate and honor all heritages within our rich, multicultural society. Other ways to support this project below:
El Día de los Muertos spans November 1st and 2nd each year, and is a joyful celebration rather than one of mourning that includes praying for, and remembering, friends and family who have passed. An altar is a raised place on which food, goods, and gifts are offered to loved ones who have passed. This holiday is associated with the Catholic holidays All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.
