The White Oak Library District and the Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc. invite you to celebrate the birthday of Gabriela Mistral (1889-1957), pseudonym for Lucila Godoi y Alcayaga (April 7). Last year, marked the 75th anniversary of the Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral's Nobel Prize in Literature. On December 10, 1945 upon receiving the Nobel Prize, she became the first Latin American author and the fifth woman to receive this honor, and she is still the only Latin American woman to have received this award.
Join Gloria Garafulich-Grabois, President, of the Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc. for an hour with Gabriela Mistral. This program will be presented LIVE on Zoom, there will be a Q & A session after the presentation.

La White Oak Library District y la Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc. les invita a celebrar el cumpleaños de Gabriela Mistral (1889-1957), pseudónimo de Lucila Godoi y Alcayaga (7 de abril). El año pasado marcó el 75 aniversario del Premio Nobel de Literatura de Gabriela Mistral. El 10 de diciembre de 1945 al recibir el Premio Nobel, Gabriela Mistral se convirtió en la primera autora latinoamericana y la quinta mujer en recibir este honor. A la fecha, es la unica mujer latinoamericana que ha recibido este premio.
