Event Details

Organic, non-GMO, and heirloom seeds will be available for free. The purpose of C.A.R.E's Seed Exchange is to educate the public about Organic, Heirloom and Open Pollinated seeds and how they can increase the nutrition, taste, and variety of homegrown food. You will be able to find rare varieties that you won’t find in most stores. Please bring some empty envelopes to hold your seeds, and you are also encouraged to bring your labeled seeds to exchange.

You will also have the opportunity to chat with food and gardening experts. The lineup for this year includes: Kay McNeil from Save Our Monarchs, Mike Durshmid/Organic Illinois/GMO, Jen Garlitz -- worm composting expert, and beekeeper Bill Lorch.
