This talk will cover an eclectic range of topics on Indian culture.  

Dr. Mishra will pull back the cultural layers of myths, mysteries, voyeurism, exoticism, stereotypes, politics, and complexities of a nation with a population of over 1.3 billion people.  Dr. Mishra was born on the island nation of  Sri Lanka, which is less than 100 miles from the southern coast of India. He holds a Ph.D. from Duke University, Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University as well as a B.A. from India’s Bhagalpur University all in English.  Pramod is currently the chair of the English Department at Lewis University in Romeoville.
