Storyteller Linda Gorham uses folk tales and the art of storytelling to remember the early life of Martin Luther King, Jr. The presentation focuses on MLK as a youth and teenager and how those years influenced him. Ms. Gorham is an engaging speaker for adults and teens, and is highly recommended for children over 7. Refreshments and a Q & A session round out the evening. Ms. Gorham's stories start at 6:30 pm with a 30 minute social time at 6:00 pm that will include an introduction of The Great Read initiative that is being celebrated by libraries and schools throughout the greater Plainfield/Southwest suburban area during the month of February. This program is funded by a The Great Read/Plainfield Foundation for Excellence.
